As Kāhu Environmental’s Technical Communicator, Jen does more than just wrangle semicolons. With ten years of writing, editing and plain language experience, she’s pretty obsessed with empowering people to write clearly to reach their readers. She also boosts Kāhu reports with effective infographics and images, and is a policy translator, event organiser, storyteller and occasional barista. Jen’s also an artist with several exhibitions and a couple of wine labels under her belt.
Jen joined Kāhu Environmental in 2014 after working as a council planing officer for five years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Geology with minors in English and Geography from the University of Idaho. Her areas of expertise include:
